A latest rumors states that we will be getting the new version of Android soon. According to the rumor Android 4.3 Jelly Bean will be coming to the Samsung Galaxy S4 Google Play Edition. The Android 4.3 Jelly Bean is the next expected upgrade to the OS, those of you who were hoping to get the tasty Key Lime Pie would have to wait.
Insiders close to Sam Mobile are stating that Google and Samsung are currently working to test a build version JWR66N of Android on the Galaxy S4 Google Play Edition, which comes with the model number GT-I9505G. If you are like me you must have partially recognized the Android build version stated previously somewhere. You are correct because a recent Myce report discussed about the two versions of Android 4.3 Jelly Bean; JWR66D and JWR53F. These where seen in server logs running on the Nexus 7 and Nexus 4 but that’s not all they were also spotted “in the issue tracker of the Google Chromium Project”.
“In this case both build numbers (JWR66D and JWR53F) mean that they are Jellybean (‘J’) builds from the second quarter of this year (‘R’) and the final number is x-th day in the quarter, in this case 66 and 53. The final character remarks the build of the day, the D is the fourth build, the F is the sixth build of that day. What the ‘W’ means is so far unclear. This means both versions are from the end of May, beginning of June.”
Sam Mobile is saying that the latest version of Android will be coming in July, which means that we will be seeing the new version in a matter of days. They are even showing screenshots of Android 4.3 Jelly Bean running on the regular version of the Galaxy S4 (The one which has Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 inside), not the Google Play Edition. This all seem interesting but we will wait for official confirmation.
