Facebook for Android is one app that certainly can use all the help it can help. While it has no major competitors in the market as of now, they do however lack certain features which have managed to piss of their consumers. That is why a couple of months ago, Facebook launched the beta testing program on the Play Store. Basically it allowed users to download the beta version of Facebook for Android and let them experience any new features that the developers may add first hand and report any problems back to them. Needless to say, the program was a success.
Now, Facebook for Android’s beta testers have gotten another upgrade to their apps. The new update brings quite a few notable changes along with a whole array of bug fixes and tweaks. The most major update in my view is the addition of the comment editing feature on the mobile app. While it is a very easy thing to do on the browser version of Facebook, this feature was lacking in the mobile app which I never could understand. The new update also allows users to create new albums right from their phones and make use of the icons in status updates to better express their emotions.
Now I know most of you will be quite excited about these new changes and truth be told I myself can’t wait for the official Facebook for Android app to get these updates. If waiting isn’t one of your strong suits then I suggest you grab the beta version by signing up for the beta testing program over here. Of course, it goes without saying that the app will have a lot of bugs, I mean come on it is after all Facebook we are talking about, the developers whose official app manages to crash every now and then.
