Just a couple of days ago we shared the rendered leaks of HTC One X9, which was rumored to be a middle ranged smart phone with a MTK processor. Well, today we finally have confirmation from HTC who have finally launched the device in China.
The HTC One X9 will have a 5.5” full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) Guerilla Glass display set in a metallic unibody. On the inside the phone will pack a MediaTek’s high-end Helio X10 processor, which is comprised of 8x Cortex A53 cores clocked at 2.2GHz. The 64-bit chipset is paired with a PowerVR G6200 GPU clocked at 700MHz, 3GB of RAM, and 32GB of internal storage. The One X9 will also feature a 13 megapixel rear, which will be capable of recording 4K footage, and an Ultrapixel front camera to suit the needs of all selfie and photography lovers. To top it all off, the device will also boast a 3000 mAh battery, which according to HTC will be capable of 15 hours of voice calls over 3G.
The HTC One X9 may not be a high end device but it will contain the BoomSound speaks on the front side that are capable of supporting Dolby Audio. This does redeem the phone of some of the questionable hardware choices HTC opted for.
As of this moment, HTC has not revealed what version of Android will the device run out of the box. There have been speculations that it may be Marshmallows but alternatively, there are rumors of it running Lollipop as well. Guess we will have to wait and see. The phone is a China exclusive and is availabe for a cheap price of 2399 yuan that roughly amount to USD370. Considering its cheap price tag and good specs, we sure do hope that HTC will think about releasing it to the other markets.
