Huawei has announced the Huawei Ascend Y530 which is going to be a mid-range smartphone for UK. While the company is teasing us with big things to come at MWC next week, the company took the liberty to announce another mid-range offering in the shape of Huawei Ascend Y530. The smartphone was slate to be launched in Germany back in January but is now available in UK as of now.
The Huawei Ascend Y530 is priced at £149.95 which translates to almost $250 USD. But we feel confused about the price of Huawei Ascend Y530. While it is a good price, it is certainly not the better one available on the market. Especially if you consider that Huawei is yet to make a brand following in the UK, the price seems a little strange. The Motorola Moto G smartphone costs less and offers better specs from the Huawei Ascend Y530.
The Huawei Ascend Y530 comes with a 4.5 inch screen with a resolution of 480 x 854 pixels. There is a 5 MP rear and VGA front camera on the smartphone which runs on a dual core Snapdragon 200 processor clocked at 1.2 GHz. There is 512 MB of RAM inside the smartphone and 4 GB of internal storage. There is also a microSD card slot for expansion. The Huawei Ascend Y530 also comes with a fairly standard Android interface based on Android version 4.3 Jelly Bean. The smartphone’s interface is touted as the “new simple Android interface which delivers a stress free smartphone experience”.
UK residents can get their hands on the Huawei Ascend Y530 starting today from Argos. The smartphone is currently available in only black color but starting March there will be more options from Carphone Warehouse. So what do you think about the Huawei Ascend Y530? Is it worth it or you will get some other mid-ranger?
