Back when Huawei first came into the Android game, it was not taken that seriously. Since then, the Chinese manufacturer has made a name for itself and Huawei Mate 8 is a clear testament to that. Huawei makes some really appealing budget and mid-range smartphones however we were pleasantly surprised by their latest flagship smartphone, the Huawei Mate 8.
Usually smartphones of this quality and caliber are not seen coming from a largely Chinese manufacturer, however Huawei Mate 8 poses serious competition to other Android OEMs. The luxurious body combined with top of the line specs makes this a wonderful smartphone to own. In a way Huawei has really entered the smartphone flagship race and with a bang too. Let’s take a look at the specs on offer here.
The Huawei Mate 8 comes with a 6 inch full HD 1080p IPS LCD screen protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 4. While many will be disappointed with the 1080p resolution, it will definitely come in handy in generating longer battery timings. Inside you will find a HiSilicon Kirn 950 processor and either 3 or 4 GB of RAM depending on the model. The smartphone also comes with a 16 MP camera with phase detection and optical image stabilization. The front camera is also a capable 8 MP one, to think that only a few years ago 8 MP camera were found on the back.
That’s not all though, the smartphone has a great looking metallic chassis which seriously rivals iPhones and Galaxy smartphones. Despite being really thin, the smartphone packs a whopping 4000 mAh battery inside. I wish I could say that the price is very low but hey, it’s the same company which made the latest Nexus smartphone, they deserve some credit. The smartphone will be launching soon worldwide and we will be keeping an eye on it.
