FlyScreen Gets Fancy
The crew at FlyScreen never seems to sleep since they’re always fixing something to make their app better for everyone. This time around, their team is addressing your desperate search for a way to change the background on their app. It’s a rainbow and the bestest, right? Sure… no. Without further ado, FlyScreen is releasing version 1.2.0, which will feature support for third-party themes, as well as the ability to make your own! What does that mean? No more rainbow, of course!
The first set of new themes comes from the very talented team at ModMyFlyscreen. In fact, those themes are already available for you (yes, YOU) on the Android Market. So mosey over there and search for “FlyScreen,” which will lead you to the new version and these new and exciting themes. And what’s better is that they have even created a custom theme for AndroidGuys! We feel so loved, so a big thank you goes to the ModMyFlyscreen team for including us in this much awaited release.
But wait… there’s more. (Sorry, I couldn’t resist.) FlyScreen has also created a wiki to help with your theme creation (here) and a Twitter account to match (@FlyScreenAPI), for support.
FlyScreen’s team shared some other changes with us:
- SMS Widget will update names upon arrival
- Major battery enhancements
- More updating messages so you know what’s going on. (i.e. “Contacting server,” “generating widgets,” etc.)
- General bug fixes
All that’s left to say is that you absolutely HAVE to see the rest of these themes. They are stunning; I am already in love with the two pictured below (AndroidGuys theme and Spades).
