Recently we have been featuring a lot of Xposed Framework modules just because they give developers the option to customize a custom ROM even more to their needs. While in theory the framework along with its mods can work on any rooted device (including stock devices), we see most users using them on custom ROMs to add additional functionality or things the developers of the firmware missed out on. The whole process is real easy and doesn’t really take much tech know how but one should still be careful while trying to install Xposed Framework for the very first time.
If you’re such a person who is looking for a way to install Xposed Framework, then simply follow the guide given below.
Disclaimer: We take no responsibility for any damages that might be done to your device either during or after the process, so proceed at your own risk. Also do remember that soft bricking can happen during the installation process.
Prerequisites: You will require a rooted device in order to install Xposed Framework on your device. Also due to the fact that soft bricking is a real possibility, we would advise that you make a NAND backup of your device just in case that things go awry.
- Download the Xposed Installed APK and install it on your phone
- Launch the installed app and go to “Framework” section
- Tap “Install/Update” and wait for the framework to be installed.
- Reboot your device.
- If by some chance you are running a ROM which has S-On or something similar, your Xposed Installer’s app_process might jump back to an older model or may even show nothing at all. If that happens, there is nothing to worry about and you can easily fix that by flashing in this file (courtesy of XDA Developers).
That’s it, you now have successfully managed to install Xposed Framework onto your Android device. Go ahead and look up some mods that might interest you.
