Samsung announced 3 new Galaxy A-series smartphones a short while back. However the Samsung Galaxy A9 was not included in the list. But that didn’t stop the leakers to release information about the much awaited smartphone. The Samsung Galaxy A9 takes a step further from the A7 and gets closer to the Galaxy S6 in terms of specs and style. The new line of e A series smartphones is already looking sharp, the new Galaxy A9 is aiming up to impress as well judging from the leaked pictures.
Now let’s get to the real meat of the article, the Galaxy A9 specs. The smartphone is going to be a large phablet, even larger than the Galaxy Note 5 in terms of screen size. The smartphone is said to have a 6 inch super AMOLED screen with a resolution of 1080p. While 1080p might seem a little low for a screen of 6 inches, the smartphone is not going to be a flagship. The smartphone will also come with a Snapdragon 620 chipset and 3 GB of RAM.
The Snapdragon 620 has a great octa-core setup going on which delivers a 1.8 GHz processor with 4x Cortex-A72 and 4x Cortex-A53 cores. The GPU in the smartphone will be a respectable Adreno 510. On the back of Samsung Galaxy A9 we could find a 13 MP camera with optical image stabilization. The front will house an 8MP camera, perfect for selfies. The storage will be capped at 32 GB with options of expansion. The smartphone will also come with a hefty 4000 mAh battery which is a nice change of pace. We do like smartphones with bigger batteries. There is also going to be a fingerprint scanner on the back.
The leaks suggest the smartphone will be releasing near Christmas or early next year. The price seems to be around €430.
