Lenovo has yet to make a big name for itself in the Android market but the company is certainly trying to get your attention. The Lenovo IdeaPhone K900 is going to be the world’s fastest Intel powered mobile device, yet the company has something else in store for us too. Rumors are suggesting that the company is making the Lenovo P780, a mid-range smartphone with a surprise. While the company is certainly become the one of the biggest name in the PC world, it has yet to take strides in the Android business.
Other companies like Huawei and ZTE are already in the almost-big leagues and Lenovo is looking to attract you with its Lenovo P780. While the specs on the Lenovo P780 are average at most, the one thing that makes it amazing is its gigantic battery. The Lenovo P780 comes with a whopping 4,000 mAh battery. Lenovo P780 is only bested by Huawei Ascend Mate, which has a 4,050 mAh battery tucked inside.
The smartphone packs 5 inch display which only has 1,280 x 720 pixels resolution. Android version 4.2 is supposed to be running the smartphone and an 8 MP camera will adorn the back. On the processor side we have a power efficient MediaTek MT6589 chip, the clocking speed is not known yet. 1 GB RAM and 8 GB on board storage is also rumored. While the Lenovo P780 may not pack super high end internals, this is necessarily not a bad thing. If you ask us the average specs might make the Lenovo P780 a mainstream hit, if the company decides to release it outside Asian territories. The average configuration combined with a humungous battery will provide you with enough juice to last days. That’s not all though, the Lenovo P780 is priced at CNY 1,999 which comes around $318. Now I really want to get myself a Lenovo P780, long trips will become so much easier with this bad boy with me.
