We all know that LG is eventually going to make the LG Optimus G2; first one did a great job of catching attention. LG is steadily getting popular in the Android world and has been making some amazing devices lately, Nexus 4; LG Optimus Pro G comes to mind. May potential customers are seriously considering purchasing LG smartphones, which was not the case a few months back.
Anyways veteran leaker @evleaks has posted a picture of a featureless smartphone which has LG branding. The leaker also makes the assumption that the smartphone is the unannounced LG Optimus G2. The smartphone is supposed to launch somewhere in the next quarter of this year. The picture however coincides with the previous rumor which says that LG is going to move the power button and the volume rocker to the back of the LG Optimus G2.
The LG Optimus G2 (alleged) looks to be like a 5 inch device with a large front facing camera. Although we can’t see any buttons on the smartphone, I personally think that there must be 2 capacitive buttons hidden on either side of the LG logo. If LG is smart the logo will also serve as the home button, but that is yet to be seen. The lack of any physical buttons may make the Android purists a little excited, but LG has been using them for a while now and many people have come to like that arrangement. Another intriguing thing about the LG Optimus G2 is the shiny ear piece; we don’t know what’s up with that yet.
Other rumors suggest that the LG Optimus G2 will run on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 800 processor and pack a whopping 3 GB of RAM. We will get back to you if something more solid about the LG Optimus G2 crops up.
