Oppo has announced yet another smartphone this week and it is called the Oppo R3. It hasn’t been that long since the company announced the Oppo N1 mini and the Oppo Find 7 mini smartphones. The Oppo R3 seems to be another entry in the ever expanding universe of Oppo smartphones. The company makes some really great smartphones and we really love to see what they have to offer. But unfortunately most of their smartphones stay in the local market and never reach international reach. The Oppo R3 seems to fall into the very same category and will be released in China only but there is no official word about an international release as of yet.
Anyways, the Oppo R3 measures 142.3 x 70.4 x 6.3 mm and the company is calling it the slimmest LTE enabled smartphone in the world. The catch is that the Oppo R3 only offers China’s LTE frequencies and will be released in China only for the foreseeable future. So calling the Oppo R3 “international” is a little far fetched. The smartphone will feature a 5 inch IPS screen capable of outputting 720p resolution. There is also an 8 MP camera on the back of the smartphone as well as a 5 MP on the front. The smartphone runs on a quad core Snapdragon 400 processor clocked at 1.6 GHz.
The Oppo R3 comes with 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of expandable internal storage. The smartphone will ship with Android 4.3 Jelly Bean on board and will only weigh 140 grams. The phone also comes with a nice 2420 mAh battery which will be quite enough for daily usage. Currently the Oppo R3 is slated to release in China this week for around $368. We will keep an eye on the international release of the Oppo R3, but we won’t be keeping fingers crossed for this one.
