CyanogenMod has become a house hold name for almost everyone who uses a custom ROM. The ROM has become famous for its various knick knacks and widgets that give it a certain level of ease of use. Now, on popular demand the CyanogenMod Clock Home and lock screen widget has finally been made available on the Play Store as a standalone app by the name of Chronus.
Chronus is capable of displaying not only the time on your lock screen but also displays upcoming calendar events, weather and much more. As you would expect from the app, it is highly customizable and some of the options include being able to choose analog or digital clocks, changing the font, using monochromatic icons, changing the color scheme and much more.
The whole app is really easy to set up and doesn’t really require that you essentially be an Android geek or have a rooted device to use the app. All you need for the app to run is Android 4.1 or above. However, there are certain features that can only be used on Android 4.2, the most noteworthy of which has to be the ability to use the widget as your Lock Screen.
Chronus is available on the Play Store for totally free and doesn’t really require any kind of purchases. The developer David van Tonder has promised in his Google+ post that there will be a pro version that will be released later this year which will have some additional features. Now that may sound as a lucrative option but still the free version isn’t too shabby at all and does come with a lot of customizable options that will keep you quite occupied for some time. So go ahead and try the app out by clicking the link given below.
