Review: Music Player (Remix) – One of the best music players for Android

I have used quite a few music players on my Android devices; however trust me when I say this that I have never came across a more complete music player than Music Player (Remix). I have used quite a few music players on my Android devices; however trust me when I say this that I have never came across a more complete music player than Music Player (Remix). With a swipe UI and almost every feature you can think of thrown into it, I must say that the developers of Music Player (Remix) have truly outdone themselves.

While the functionality of the app is similar to every other music player that is available on the Play Store, it does manage to please users with its swipe UI. Yes, instead of tapping on your mobile screens to get to a specific part of the app, with Music Player (Remix) you can simply swipe in the appropriate direction to get to the desired function. A quick swipe up displays the Now Playing screen while a swipe left displays your playlists and favs. Similarly by swiping right you can view your music library and search preferences etc.

While the swipe UI itself is quite impressive, my most favorite feature of the app has to be its notification controls which can be accessed from anywhere in the phone by just swiping up from the bottom of the screen. This mini player includes playback controls, track seeking and full playlist management.

Other features of the app includes full tablet UI, homescreen and lockscreen widgets, Last.FM scrobbling, lyric and art fetching, expandable notification controls, auto-generated playlists, in-app Wikipedia browser along with the ability to customize the Now Playing screen for easy access to functions like lyrics, bookmarks, sharing and access to YouTube.

Quite frankly I have never come across with a better oriented and detailed music player than Music Player (Remix) for Android devices and even though the app did cost me $5 to buy, it was among the wisest purchases I have ever made on the Play Store. Of course, if this is too rich for your blood and you want to be sure that what you are getting is the same thing as advertised, you can try out the 14 day trial version of the app as well. With full functionality and its awesome UI, I highly doubt that you won’t think about buying the app for your Android device before the trial period ends.
