Ease of Use
Ever wondered what those different stellar constellations that you see on the night sky are called or whether if they were really stars to begin with? Well, then thanks to Star Chart you finally will be able to answer the above asked questions (i.e. if you ever asked them in the first place).
Star Chart is a star gazing app with augmented reality. Instead of showing you constellations on maps, the app takes a much cooler approach to star gazing. All you have to do is to point your android device’s camera at a star and the app will tell you which star or constellation you are looking at, which can be a great blessing for amateur star gazers such as myself.
The app also allows you to look up various facts about the constellation you’re looking at, which is a bonus that compliments the wicked constellation drawings displayed in the app. You can also use your fingers to browse around the entire night sky and if you’re feeling too lazy for that, you can alternatively also use voice commands to jump to specific locations such as the moon or Saturn.
With a bunch of other neat features, the Star Chart is truly a well-designed and exceptional app that can make looking at stars that much easier. Heck, the app even has the ability to use your phone’s GPS to calculate the location of planets and stars in real time and show them where they exactly are at that moment in time (even if its broad day light).
The app’s UI is simplistic and even supports intuitive finger gestures to make the whole process of zooming in on a specific are a breeze. Personally, I couldn’t really find any flaws with the app as it worked just like it was supposed to.
Star Chart can be downloaded for free from the Play Store and is definitely worth the download especially if you are interested in knowing more about the stars that you see every night. Trust me, it is one app that you won’t really regret trying out, so grab it as soon as you can by clicking the link given below.
