LG has really upped their Android smartphone game last year. We loved the LG G4 and the more premium LG V10 smartphones and we cannot wait for LG G5 specs to release officially. Usually LG has been stuffing their smartphones with top of the line specs and if the rumors are to be believed, the tradition will continue on with the LG G5 smartphone as well.
So let’s get right to the main course, the LG G5 specs will have a 5.6 inch screen with a QHD resolution. QHD is a 1400 x 2560 pixels resolution which is exactly the same as the previous smartphone in the G series. I personally think that this resolution is kind of perfect for a screen of that size, it is already an overkill but still better than sticking a 4K screen on a 5-6 inch device.
The LG G5 processor will be the Snapdragon 820 SoC which will be a quad core CPU. Paired with it will be an Adreno 530 GPU. I really hope that Qualcomm has made some thermal improvements to the design of the chip as the 810 got noticeably warmer on the HTC flagship of last year.
The smartphone will also come with a 21 MP camera on the back and will have a 8 MP front facing one. LG has used a great wide angle front facing camera on their latest smartphone and I hope this one also retains that wide view. The information comes from Weibo, so it is not highly reliable. These days the rumors turn out to be almost truth and the specs don’t seem farfetched to me. The smartphone is supposed to be announced sometime in February which coincidently is the same month when Samsung will announce their own flagship device. We will be keeping a close eye on the developments and reporting accordingly.
