With IFA just around the corner, we certainly have our hands filled with pre-event unveilings and leaks. While we don’t really have an official unveiling to share with you guys today, we do however have a few leaked pictures of the Xperia Z3 which is to be officially revealed to the public tomorrow at Sony’s IFA press event.
The alleged Z3 pictures are brought to us courtesy of Xperia Blog and as you can see, they reveal a copper colored Z3 with an absolutely gorgeous metallic finish. If that wasn’t enough, the picture also shows a SmartBand with an e-ink screen. Of course it goes without saying that the SmartBand will function more like a fitness related device rather than a smartwatch, thanks to its e-ink screen.
Of course this isn’t the first leak that we have heard about the Z3 as a couple of days ago, the rumored specs of the Z3 also surfaced on the net. According to those rumors, the Xperia Z3 will have a Snapdragon 801 processor, 3GB of RAM, 16GB of storage space plus a MicroSD card, a 5.2″ 1080p screen, with a 13 megapixel camera and a 3100 mAh battery. Of course most of us still are a bit skeptical of these specs as they are more or less quite similar to the specs of Xperia Z2.
The rumors also indicated that Sony is basically going to slim the Xperia Z3 down as compared to its predecessors and thanks to its STAMINA mode, the battery will supposedly last for 2 days. Now, we don’t really know how much of this is true but hey, with less than 24 hours to go till the official press unveiling of the device, we can surely wait to see how many of these speculations are correct.
In any case, we do hope that Sony decides to follow in the footsteps of the recently launched flagships and go for a resolution higher than 1080p but then again that’s just wishful thinking on our part.
