Xiaomi is one of the many smart phone manafacturers that most of you might have never heard about. They have had made quite a few great devices with top of the line hardware specs but thanks to the market being dominated by other popular brands, they have been shunned to somewhat of an obscure place where only a few people outside of China value their phones. However, that hasn’t stopped the company from making great phones as the latest rumors about the Xiaomi Mi5 only seem to strengthen the company’s resolve to make better phones for a cheaper rate.
The Xiaomi Mi5 (as seen in the leaked render picture on the top) will be the company’s flagship device with a metallic body, a squarish Finger Print Scanner and USB Type C port. Apart from the great design, the phone will also pack quite a punch under the hood as it is rumored to have a 5.2-inch display with either FHD or QHD resolution running on Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor with either 3 or 4 GB of RAM and 32/64 GB of internal storage, depending upon which variant you go for. The phone is also rumored to pack a 16 MP rear-facing camera and a whooping 13 MP front-facing camera with USB Type-C with Quick Charge 3.0 and a humongous 3600 mAh battery.
As for the price tag, the Xiaomi Mi5 is rumored to be available for 1,999 yuan for the 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage variant, which currently equals to about $309 USD while the 64 GB storage and 4 GB RAM variant is said to be made available for 2,299 Yuan that is approximately equal to $355 USD.
Do remember these are all nothing but rumors but considering the company’s track record to produce amazing devices, we just can’t wait till January 2016 for Xiaomi to officially launch the device and if it is anywhere near these specs and price, I don’t see any reason why I myself wouldn’t be jumping in line to get one.
