So were you excited about Sony making a new 20 MP camera phone? Well Samsung apparently is not going to hold back either. Latest rumors suggest that Samsung is making a new smartphone called Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom which is probably going to have a 16 megapixel camera on board.
After all the Korean manufacture has made the Galaxy Camera, which is a digital camera with mobile data connection. We really liked the Galaxy Camera but it lacked in certain features, first it was a rather unwieldy device and secondly it didn’t allow text messaging or voice calls. The Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom apparently is going to be a phone first than a digital camera that is if the rumors are correct. According to Sam Mobile, the Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom will be arriving in stores in June/July period this summer, but considering the nature of the report we advise that you don’t take this all too seriously.
There are some details available which indicate that the camera will be a serious one, probably clocking at 16 megapixels. The camera might be the same one used on the Galaxy Camera. Other specs include a 4.3 inch qHD Super AMOLED display and 8 GB of internal memory space (which would be upgradeable to 64 GB via microSD card slot). WiFi, GPS and Bluetooth 4.0 are also rumored to be included. There is no word about the amount or RAM or the type of processor used on the Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom.
Samsung has proven that there is no such thing as a small market; the proof is the success of the Galaxy Note smartphones. We will really like to see what the Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom has to offer before becoming judgmental, that is if the smartphone actually exists. We will snap at you after we obtain solid information.
