Smart watches have mainly been an item of novelty majorly due to the fact that they are heavily reliant on their respective flagship devices from the OEMs. However, that hasn’t really deterred OEMs from investing heavily into this field as almost all of them are in a race to bring out the next best thing in the genre. Just yesterday LG teased their LG G Watch R with a short video which went viral and today we have news that Samsung will be releasing a new smartwatch to accompany its latest flagship device: the Note 4.
Of course this is rather a bunch of rumors but according to Sam Mobile, the smartwatch in question will not only be available for purchase just after a few months of release of the Note 4 but it will also contain a SIM slot. Now I don’t know about you but this is fairly an interesting feature to introduce in a wearable device which clearly shows that Samsung is all in to guide these watches from a mere novelty item to full-fledged useful devices of their own. The smartwatch will be round in shape, as opposed to its predecessors which had rather rectangular faces.
Now, the only things that one can wonder are: what exactly will you be able to do with the smartwatch? Which GSM services will we have access to? Will Samsung stick to Tizen or finally revert back to Android after the mixed reaction it got from the general public? Well to be honest, we don’t really know the answers to any of these questions. However, what we do know is that we just have to wait a few more weeks to find out as we’re quite certain that in the upcoming press event in which the Note 4 will be unveiled, we just might see this mythical, circular smartwatch in all of its glory.
