Toshiba may not be the first name you get in your mind when it comes to purchasing Android tablets but the company is certainly trying to get your attention with the Toshiba Excite Go. The Toshiba Excite Go is a 7 inch tablet, which itself is not that big of a deal, the real jolt is the very low price. The Toshiba Excite Go will be selling for only $110 and it will come with some good features. To be honest we have already seen many cheap tablets with the same 7 inch size. But this tablet comes from a well renowned brand and the only tablet which comes close to its price point is HP Slate 7.
The Toshiba Excite Go will be targeting the customers who don’t want to spend a fortune of a flagship tablet and it will definitely hit the mark. The 7 inch tablet will run on a quad core Intel Atom processor which means that it will not be short of processing power. Toshiba claims that the Intel Atom processor will be able to power the tablet for 8 hours. This claim seems very reasonable once you know that the Toshiba Excite Go does not feature a very high resolution screen. The tablet while running on Android 4.4 Kit Kat only comes with a screen of 1024 x 600 pixel resolution. This makes it really hard for us to love the tablet.
Understandably Toshiba had to make some sacrifices to keep the price to a minimum but we just can’t image ourselves consuming media on a tablet which has a sub-par resolution. Anyways the Toshiba Excite Go seems like a good deal for those who only need a cheap tablet to get some important work done on the go. We will update you once there is more information about the Toshiba Excite Go.
