ZTE has done something which no other budget smartphone has done. With their ZTE Redbull, they are launching 4G LTE compatibility on a phone which only costs $130. At this price the ZTE Redbull might seem like a pipedream but it is actually going to be releasing soon. You might think that the ZTE Redbull will have sub-par specs in order to compensate for the high quality connectivity, and again you will stand wrong.
This new trend of releasing $130 smartphones has taken China and other related markets by storm now. First it was the Xiaomi Hognami smartphone which brought a 720 p HD display, 1 GB of RAM and an 8 MP camera to the table. Then Huawei jumped to the occasion and released their Honor 3C smartphone at the same price range and almost same specs. Both of them however lacked the 4G LTE technology. This restricted many who wanted to try out the smartphones by importing them.
But ZTE Redbull is going to change all that by running on a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor with LTE technology instead of MediaTek ones used by Hognami and Honor 3C. The ZTE Redbull will come with a 5 inch screen running at 720 p HD resolution. There will also be 1 GB of RAM and only 4 GB of storage space available on the ZTE Redbull. The processor is Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8226. The real star is the 13 MP camera on the back of ZTE Redbull which comes with Sony CMOS sensor. The smartphone is also fitted with an ample 2400 mAh battery which will last quite a while. You can thankfully expand the 4 GB storage with the included microSD card slot though. There is also an Energy version of ZTE Redbull available with 8 GB of storage and 2 GB of RAM and will only cost $30 extra at $160. So what do you take from this?
